Football Manager rule files for CONMEBOL v26.1

In this package, you will find rule files for CONMEBOL Member Nations.

I did my best to use realistic formats for all the leagues that are included. The rule files contain:

• real divisions and cups with real formats from 2025/26
• teams from the 2025/26 season
• all nations have transfer windows, registration periods, tv dates, match rules, prize money - when I was able to find this in my online research

Installation Guide

Copy the .fmf files for the nations you want into the folder "<My Documents>\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2026\editor data\". The folder can be different if you have changed it in the FM26 preferences. The leagues should then appear the next time you start a new game in FM26 and chose advanced setup.
Make sure you have the checkbox "add players to playable teams" checked. This is recommended, otherwise you may end up with a lot of greyed-out players.

Testing

all rules files have been tested by me in the editor and in the actual game (unemployed mode)
of course, it is possible that there are issues and mistakes in the rule files. If you find an issue, you can contact me by E-Mail.

• Primera Division was changed to add the correct derbies to the schedule
• 3rd tier Torneo Fderal A and Metropolitano B will balance teams to 38 and 21 by promoting more or fewer teams from the 4th tier.
• Copa Argentina format was changed to get the correct qualifiers and refactored so that derby opponents can only meet in the final.

Bolivia v26.1

• The Copa Bolivia is divided in 4 groups and teams play eachother twice and 2 additional derby matches against a team from another group. Only 5 derbies are known (to me) in Bolivia, so the rest is paired as best as I could (geographically)

• Serie C expands from 20 to 24 teams in 2026
• Serie D expands from 64 to 96 teams in 2026
• For Serie D, teams that are not promoted and did not re-qualify through the State Championships or reach the final 32 are moved to lower divisions. (This will probably get you fired in the game)
• The Copa Verde changes in 2026 to a super cup between the winners of the Copa Norte and Nordest

• Copa de la Liga starts in 2026

• Starting in 2026, Supercopa changes to a 4 team tournament

• Primera C format does not have irregular groups like in real life but groups of 7 to 9 teams grouped by region.
